From My Past

Here are some family photos from my past. Maybe a boring post for some but I couldn't resist showing them. My favorite one here is of my sister blowing out candles on a birthday cake. Look at all of the powdered sugar "poofing" all over. Anyway I hope you get a chuckle out of these like I did. Many more to come, even if its boring.

This kid's 8 years old today

Super proud of this little guy. Known him since he was 2. Oliver has taught me so much about life in such a unique way. Always cool with a camera pointed at his antics and is as polite as they come in this world. Super excited for the good times ahead.

Looking out the window

and still seeking different ways of doing things.

Just got an 8x10 base for my Daylab slide printer. Seemed only normal to tape 4 sheets of 779 Polaroid film into an 8x10 film holder and then expose them. Somewhat grueling process with many blind steps, but it seemed to pay off with an image I'm happy with. Voila!

No rain today. Too much cabin fever. My favorite Portland bridge. Shot on Fuji 4x5 instant film. No lens, just a pins prick for a second.

Balopticon Magic Lantern

Here are some prints made from old glass slides usually used in whats called a "Balopticon" or a "Magic Lantern." I put them into my DayLab which normally prints from 35mm slides onto instant film. Film used here is expired 669 Polaroid film from the year 2000.
